Welsh Wonders, Workshops and Wildlife

It's been a busy summer filled with more than I could possibly include in one post. So this one is a summary of events, places and thoughts of August...

I ran two workshops as part of local teen retreat days, the first of which we had a go at watercolour patterns with inspirational quotes. They all gave it a good go and if anything had a calm, relaxed hour, getting creative.

A peaceful weekend in Poole with an evening paddle in the sea and a little time to sketch.

A family road trip through Wales. This adventure was non-stop, a whole variety of scenery and attractions seen; from magical forests to historical architecture, beaches, museums, mountains and waterfalls. Wales really does have it all!

I had three paintings in the Southern Nature Art Exhibition (plus bonus postcard they asked artists to contribute, should they wish). It was an excellent show and I was very pleased to have sold my one of my pieces, Against the Flow.

As always, August flew by but it was full of wonders, rest, new experiences and challenges.

It wasn't without some sadness, which I know others also experienced this month.

The fragility of life could overwhelm and bring about fear, but maybe it can instead be a catalyst to flourish. Grasp each day in it's beautiful simplicity, take risks that could lead to wonderful opportunities, say yes to adventures.

Keep steady as a rock, smile, breath and just be.
