Renewal

February is here, and with it torrential showers interspersed with days of bright and welcomed sunshine.

I always find a walk along the beach refreshes me mind, body and soul. Stormy seas and blustery gusts making my hair dance in crazy movements recharges life's battery and on those calm, sunny days it brings warmth and peace. It may be that the mountains, rivers or forests have the same effect on you - we can't all be lucky enough to live on the coast. Get out and let the elements touch your skin, enjoy the renewal they bring.

I am pleased that amongst wrapping up one business, and other work and family commitments, I have been able to spend some time with my art. This started with a 4"x4" miniature pen and watercolour named 'Venice' that will be one of my entries in the art exhibition. I looked back through the photos I took in Italy last year for inspiration and settled on one of the small canals with gondola's tied up, waiting, ready for their next outing on the water.

I then did a little experimenting with some linoprint, it's a work in progress but I did end up with a small print of a goldcrest. It needs some tweaks and refining but it was good to get the ink and roller out!

I've decided to make a playlist every month so here's February's. Mainly a new band I discovered, Black Match - others may get added as the month progresses. I hope you enjoy!
